HOLIDAY HOUSE IN PANÍ HÁJE
HOLIDAY HOUSE IN PANÍ HÁJE
We wanted to build a compact holiday house (cottage) that respects the space constraints of the Garden in Paní Háje, Slovácko region, South Moravia with its long and narrow ground plan. Another effort was to connect to the spectacular view of the White Carpathians on the horizon and to connect the garden with the interior of the house. With this assignment, we contacted the architectural office Archteam in Brno, led by the architect Milan Rak, which won the title "BUILDING OF THE YEAR 2002" and at the same time awarded GRAND PRIX ARCHITECTS 2001 for the WOODEN FAMILY HOUSE IN THE GARDEN, which was also published in the encyclopedia of contemporary world architecture, The Phaidon World Atlas Contemporary Architecture (London 2004) HOUSE NOW (New York, 2006). The Architect Milan Rak, after visiting the Paní Háje, to tune with the place genius loci and consult with us, designed a holiday house project as an elongated wooden structure set on repaired concrete foundations in the direction of the Forest Chriby, which protect the house back to the sloping garden to southern plains of the Slovácko region, South Moravia thus fulfilling the aspect of Feng - Shui 's ancient teachings about the relationship between the house and its surroundings.
HOLIDAY HOUSE IN PANÍ HÁJE
Why with us ?
We believe the house must communicate with the place. Its purpose must be related to the atmosphere of the place (genius loci) where it stands. We have tried to respect these rules and believe that you will spend a nice holiday or weekend in our holiday house (cottage) in Paní Háje, Slovácko region, South Moravia.
Fires The summer burns from four sides
The acacia groves are blooming
Green soup of wine sparkling on vineyards
Bleeding poppies in grain
Darkness comes
and the moon is walking along the silver bridge
The world is as bread pulled out of the furnace
and consumes the night
Jan Skácel, Short description of the summer
What can you expect from us?
Place
The place is located in the center of Slovácko region, near Moravany at Kyjov, near the recreation settlement Kameňák.
Genius loci
At the foot of the Chriby Mountains, the highest and most ragged area of the Central Moravian Carpathians, which extends through the center of Moravia, a long garden in the Paní Háje rises from the southern slopes of the Slovácko region. At the lower end, the garden adjoins the horseshoe enclosure, and at the upper end it links to the rising Chriby Forest. Here we decided to build a holiday house overlooking the white flowering plum trees in the spring and the White Carpathians on the horizon.
